Here's the story of my most recent visit to Collins. I have an old BMW that has had a chronic problem with the glovebox, it's latch doesn't work so won't open. Last month I had to renew the insurance and I needed the registration and insurance info that was still locked in the compartment. I dropped into Collins about 10 minutes before closing and asked if they could open it up for me. I knew it was a pretty quick process. They said sure, they'd do it right away. They drove it into the bay, crawled under the dashboard, unscrewed the cable cover, pulled the release cable, took out the contents, reclosed it, reattached the cable cover, and drove it back out of the bay. "How much do I owe you?", I asked. "Oh, don't worry about it," he said with a smile. Do you think I'm going to go back to Collins Automotive for my repairs? You bet! And, I'll tell every Beemer owner I come across that story. Sure it cost them 15 minutes of time and the could easily have charged me $25-$30 and I would have gladly paid it. But, they invested in me as a customer and they'll get it back many times over from me, and the people I send their way. Good customer service is worth every penny it might cost.
